Kenneth leads FRB, and he directly heads the real estate and civil litigation groups. Ken’s practice has largely revolved around his real estate clients. He has been involved in hundreds of real estate transactions ranging from due diligence, financing and acquisition through development, to management and leasing. Ken has also served as lead counsel for matters of estate litigation, intellectual property litigation, commercial litigation, and real estate litigation. Additionally, he has practiced before the various Surrogate’s Courts in New York State in matters of estate and trust administration.

Ken launched his career as a judicial intern in the District Court for the Eastern District of New York. Shortly after graduation, he began working with one of Long Island’s most esteemed solo practitioners, Myron G. Jacobson. Tapping into decades of experience in real estate acquisition, financing and development, Ken has helped forge partnerships that have invested tens of millions of dollars in real estate development throughout the five boroughs of New York City and throughout the country. Ken has earned the trust of some of America’s most prestigious law firms, serving as counsel to their clients in the event of conflicts of interest.

Rappaport concentrates his practice in Taxation as it relates to Real Estate, Corporations, Partnerships, and Trusts & Estates. He advises clients regarding tax planning and structuring for generational wealth transfer, commercial real estate enterprises, business transactions, and cross-border considerations. He primarily advises real estate professionals, financial professionals, and closely held business owners. He also functions like a subcontractor for other attorneys, accountants, financial advisors, bankers, and insurance professionals when they encounter matters requiring a threshold level of tax law expertise.
